Melbourne Mental Health Worker Celebrates Charlie Kirk Assassination in Shocking TikTok Series

A Melbourne-based mental health policy writer has ignited widespread condemnation after posting multiple TikTok videos celebrating and mocking the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Lizzy Page, who describes herself as a poet and advocate for dignity in mental healthcare, recorded a series of disturbing videos making light of Kirk’s brutal murder at Utah Valley University last week.

In the controversial footage, Page sports a distinctive multi-coloured quiff whilst defending the right to mock Kirk’s violent death. She argued that finding humour in the tragedy was neither unethical nor unkind, claiming Kirk had brought violence upon himself through his own actions.

Most disturbingly, Page made graphic references to Kirk’s fatal injuries, describing him as a “human water fountain” and making pointed comments about how he “used his whole head to defend your Second Amendment right to own guns.” Australian Senator Ralph Babet interpreted these remarks as grotesque references to the blood loss from Kirk’s neck wound during the shooting.

The 31-year-old father of two was assassinated whilst speaking to thousands of students, yet Page showed no sympathy for the victim. Instead, she characterised Kirk as “an abuser” and suggested his death was a legitimate consequence of his public persona.

He was advocating for what was by definition in the United States child abuse,” Page claimed in one video, though she failed to provide any specific examples or evidence for this serious allegation. She dismissed concerns about Kirk’s young children losing their father, maintaining that his parental status provided no excuse for his political positions.

Page’s LinkedIn profile indicates she previously worked at the Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC) until June last year, a position that makes her current behaviour particularly troubling. Despite claiming to work towards “protecting the dignity of suffering,” her videos demonstrate a complete absence of empathy for Kirk or his family.

The backlash was swift and severe. TikTok users flooded her page demanding evidence of Kirk allegedly inciting violence, with many expressing disgust at her celebration of a human death. One commenter wrote simply: “It is NEVER okay to laugh at the death of a human being.”

Senator Ralph Babet amplified the controversy by sharing Page’s content on X, declaring: “This is beyond disturbing. People like this are dangerous.” He questioned whether someone displaying such callous attitudes should have any association with mental health organisations and urged the public to contact VMIAC about their concerns.

A child protection worker delivered a particularly damning critique on Page’s LinkedIn profile, noting the hypocrisy of a mental health professional lacking basic human empathy. The worker pointed out that Kirk had been exercising free speech when murdered and criticised Page for creating content purely for online attention.

“You have your own consequences to deal with now,” the child protection worker warned, highlighting how Page’s insensitive videos had damaged her professional credibility.

In perhaps her most extreme statement, Page declared that showing dignity meant celebrating terrible people’s deaths, adding that her only empathy lay with Kirk’s alleged “victims” – though she never clarified who these victims were or what Kirk had supposedly done to them.

The mental health worker’s videos represent part of a broader pattern of leftist social media users celebrating Kirk’s assassination. Her professional background in mental healthcare makes her participation in this trend particularly alarming, raising serious questions about her fitness to work in a field requiring compassion and psychological insight.

Meanwhile, authorities in Utah have Tyler Robinson, 22, in custody as the suspected gunman. He surrendered to police following the shooting and faces formal charges on Tuesday for Kirk’s murder.
