Explosive new documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have revealed that Elon Musk was scheduled to visit the convicted sex offender’s private island in 2014, while Prince Andrew is confirmed as a passenger on Epstein’s jet, according to files released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee today.

The trove of documents, part of a third batch of more than 8,500 pages provided to Congressional investigators, includes Epstein’s daily schedules, flight manifests and financial ledgers that shed new light on the disgraced financier’s connections to some of the world’s most powerful figures.

An entry in Epstein’s calendar for 6 December 2014 reads: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)” The note suggests uncertainty about whether the Tesla CEO would make the trip to Little St James in the US Virgin Islands, six years after Epstein became a registered sex offender.

The same scheduling document also mentions a tentative breakfast with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, adding another layer to their controversial relationship that has been under intense scrutiny since Epstein’s death in 2019.

House Democrats released the documents as part of their ongoing investigation into Epstein’s network, with Oversight Committee spokesperson Sara Guerrero declaring: “It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world.”

The files also contain flight manifests showing Prince Andrew as a passenger on Epstein’s aircraft on 12 May 2000, flying from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida. The Duke of York was listed alongside Epstein, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, and two redacted names.

Financial disclosures provided to the committee suggest evidence of payments from Epstein to masseuses on behalf of an individual identified as “Andrew”, though the context and nature of these payments remain unclear.

The documents reveal scheduled meetings between Epstein and prominent Trump allies during his first administration. An itinerary from November 2017 shows a noon lunch appointment with venture capitalist Peter Thiel, whilst another email from February 2019 includes a 7am breakfast with Steve Bannon scheduled for 16 February.

Musk has previously vehemently denied any business relationship with Epstein. When subpoenaed by the US Virgin Islands in 2022 regarding JPMorgan Chase’s alleged facilitation of Epstein’s activities, the billionaire responded forcefully: “That cretin never advised me on anything whatsoever.”

He added: “The notion that I would need or listen to financial advice from a dumb crook is absurd.”

The revelation comes months after Musk claimed in June that Donald Trump appeared in Epstein files and accused the administration of concealing information about the president’s association with the financier. Those posts on X were later deleted, and no evidence was provided to support the claims.

Prince Andrew’s appearance in the documents adds to the mounting evidence of his relationship with Epstein, which has already resulted in significant personal and reputational damage. The Duke paid a reported multi-million pound settlement to Virginia Giuffre in 2022, who accused him of sexual abuse when she was a teenager, allegations he has consistently denied.

Previous court documents have detailed Andrew’s visits to Epstein’s properties, with former butler Juan Alessi testifying that the prince “spent weeks with us” at the Palm Beach residence and received “daily massages.”

The timing of these revelations is particularly sensitive as they emerge amid ongoing battles over the full release of the so-called “Epstein files”. Attorney General Pam Bondi has faced criticism for delays in releasing additional documents, with some Democrats suggesting the hold-up may be to protect powerful figures.

Representative Robert Garcia, Ranking Member of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, wrote to Bondi in June expressing “profound alarm at allegations that files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have not been declassified and released to the American public because they personally implicate President Trump.”

The documents show Epstein’s continued access to elite circles well after his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. His appointment with Bannon in 2019 occurred just months before Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in July of that year.

Gates’ relationship with Epstein has been extensively documented, with reports indicating they met dozens of times between 2011 and 2014. The Microsoft founder has repeatedly expressed regret about the association, calling it a “huge mistake” and claiming the meetings were solely about philanthropic endeavours.

Melinda French Gates cited her ex-husband’s relationship with Epstein as a factor in their divorce, telling CBS in 2022: “I wanted to see who this man was, and I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door. He was abhorrent. He was evil personified.”

The committee noted extensive redactions have been made to protect victims’ identities as investigators continue analysing the documents. This is described as a “rolling production” with more documents expected to be released.

Republicans on the committee dismissed the latest release as “old news” and accused Democrats of “cherry-picking documents and politicising this investigation”. They claimed Democrats were “intentionally withholding documents that contain names of Democrat officials.”

Committee Chairman James Comer issued a statement saying: “President Trump is not accused of any wrongdoing and Democrats are ignoring the new information the Committee received today.”

The documents represent the most comprehensive glimpse yet into Epstein’s extensive network of contacts among the global elite. Previous releases included a controversial “birthday book” allegedly gifted to Epstein on his 50th birthday containing messages from high-profile associates.

Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 whilst awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death sparked numerous conspiracy theories and investigations into how he was able to operate his alleged trafficking ring for decades whilst maintaining relationships with world leaders, billionaires and celebrities.

Maxwell, his longtime associate, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 for her role in recruiting and grooming underage girls for sexual abuse.

The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed both the Department of Justice and Epstein’s estate for records, with Democrats pushing for full transparency whilst ensuring victim protection through appropriate redactions.

Guerrero concluded: “Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims. Oversight Democrats will not stop until we identify everyone complicit in Epstein’s heinous crimes.”

The investigation continues as lawmakers press for the release of additional documents, including what committee members describe as thousands of pages still under review by federal authorities.
