In a stomach-churning case that has shocked the nation, a twisted paedophile husband recorded his wife performing depraved sex acts with their pet dogs while amassing a sickening stash of over 2,000 bestiality images. Daniel Rochford, 43, and his wife Jennifer, 42, from South Wibble in Lancashire, were exposed as monsters who revelled in their vile perversions, a court heard.
Preston Crown Court was told the couple hoarded a grotesque collection of more than 3,000 extreme pornographic images, including bestiality and child abuse. Rochford alone possessed 2,180 revolting bestiality snaps and 165 images of child abuse, with 92 classified as the most horrific Category A type. But the depravity didn’t stop there – the sicko was also found guilty of raping and sexually abusing a schoolgirl and forcing another child to watch pornographic filth.
In a chilling revelation, the court heard Rochford filmed his wife Jennifer sexually abusing their dogs at their flat, with the couple taking “sexual delight and pleasure” in the horrifying acts. Judge Guy Mathieson blasted the pair, saying: “The footage and commentary show exactly how much sexual gratification you both derived from these acts. It is sickening.”
Turning to Rochford, the judge didn’t hold back, branding him a predator who believed he could “do what you want, when you want” to any woman or girl in his life, “raping them, corrupting them or demeaning them” for his own twisted kicks. His wife, described as “blinded by love,” was an eager participant, with no “reluctance or refusal” in the vile acts that became a warped part of their marriage. “You lost any sense of decency or morality,” the judge told her.
Jennifer, who ran an online den for perverts sharing similar disgusting interests, kept a log of those who no longer joined their sick community. She admitted to eight counts of bestiality and possession of extreme pornography, with 1,764 vile images in her possession.
The couple’s address was linked to a former veterinary clinic, but authorities confirmed the horrific acts only involved their own animals. Rochford was slapped with a 21-year prison sentence for a catalogue of heinous crimes, including rape, sexual activity in the presence of a child, voyeurism, and encouraging his wife’s bestiality by filming it. Deemed a “significant risk” to women and girls, he’ll face an eight-year extended licence period after his release – the longest a judge can impose. He’s also on the sex offenders’ register for life and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Jennifer, meanwhile, escaped jail with a nine-month suspended sentence for two years. She’ll be on the sex offenders’ register for three years, faces a SHPO, and must complete a 20-day rehabilitation program.
The case, reported by the Manchester Evening News, has left locals reeling. “It’s beyond comprehension,” one neighbour said. “How could anyone sink so low?”
