Son of David and Victoria only references tattoos dedicated to wife while ignoring family tributes – and takes relationship advice from Nicola’s parents instead of his own
Brooklyn Beckham has raised eyebrows by completely failing to mention his famous parents David and Victoria in a new interview with wife Nicola Peltz, as the couple opened up about their relationship for Glamour Germany’s Love edition.
The 26-year-old aspiring chef pointedly ignored his family throughout the intimate photoshoot and interview, instead choosing to focus entirely on his devotion to his 30-year-old actress wife amid ongoing reports of a bitter family feud.
TATTOO SNUB TO FAMILY
In a particularly telling moment, Brooklyn went shirtless to show off his extensive tattoo collection, explaining he has over 100 pieces of body art. But when asked which were the most special to him, he conspicuously only mentioned those dedicated to Nicola – completely ignoring the numerous tributes to his parents and siblings inked on his body.
I have Nicola’s eyes tattooed on my neck. Our vows, obviously. A Star of David. And one in memory of my grandfather,” he listed, failing to reference any of his well-documented family tattoos.
The snub is particularly striking given Brooklyn famously has “Mama’s Boy” tattooed on his chest, his dad David’s signature on his side, and tributes to all three of his siblings – Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
‘IGNORE THE NOISE’
The couple appeared to address the ongoing family drama when asked how they ‘protect’ their relationship in the spotlight, with their responses hinting at outside interference.
“Ignore the noise. Keep your head down, work hard, be kind. People are always going to talk. What matters is that we’re happy together,” Brooklyn stated pointedly.
The comment comes amid reports of “tensions” between the couple and the wider Beckham family, with sources claiming David and Victoria are “hurt and disappointed” that Brooklyn is “playing no part in family life.
NICOLA’S PARENTS GET THE CREDIT
In another apparent dig, when asked about relationship advice for young couples, Brooklyn completely failed to mention his own parents – despite their 25-year marriage being one of the most enduring in showbusiness.
Instead, it was Nicola who referenced parental guidance, but notably only from her billionaire parents Nelson and Claudia Peltz.
“My parents always told me, ‘Tell us the truth, and we’ll help you.’ That mindset has stayed with me,” she explained. “Whether it’s with friends, family, or in a relationship—honesty builds trust, closeness, growth. Real connection only happens when you’re brave enough to be honest.
Brooklyn’s response to the same question made no mention of any family wisdom: “Always be honest. There’s nothing worse than keeping things from each other.”
‘YOU SHOULD MARRY YOUR BEST FRIEND’
The couple were draped over one another in the striking photoshoot, with both gushing about their love for each other while making no reference to the Beckham clan.
Giving their definition of love, Nicola shared: “It’s this calm feeling, a sense of safety that takes over your whole body. I’d never felt that before.”
Brooklyn added: “You should marry your best friend. Someone who feels like home. For me, that’s Nicola.”
FAMILY FEUD INTENSIFIES
The interview is likely to further fuel speculation about the ongoing rift between Brooklyn and his famous family. The couple notably missed all three of David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year, with no explanation given for their absence.
Sources recently told TMZ that Brooklyn and Nicola are “fed up” with how his “toxic” and “narcissistic” parents treat them, with claims that David “verbally berates” his eldest son during phone calls.
The feud reportedly began shortly after Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding, with tensions escalating when Nicola didn’t wear a Victoria Beckham-designed wedding dress.
BROTHERS TAKE SIDES
The family divide appeared to deepen recently when Brooklyn posted on Instagram that he would “always choose” Nicola, prompting his younger brother Cruz to share a pointed family photo with the caption: “I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum & dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what.”
Romeo and Cruz were also caught apparently mocking Nicola on social media, with Cruz commenting on one of Romeo’s posts in a way that seemed to imitate Nicola’s earlier comment style.
NO OLIVE BRANCH
Despite Victoria’s recent attempts to extend an olive branch by sharing a family photo including Brooklyn with the caption “we both love you all so much,” this latest interview suggests the eldest Beckham son is in no mood for reconciliation.
By completely erasing his parents from the narrative of his life and love story, Brooklyn appears to be sending a clear message about where his loyalties lie – and it’s not with the family who made him famous.
As one source close to the situation recently revealed: “The relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
Based on this interview, it seems Brooklyn is perfectly content with that arrangement.
