Physics teacher who posted as ‘Jessica Jackrabbit’ reveals she told teenage son about X-rated side hustle before launching account that earned her £60,000 in ONE MONTH
A sacked teacher who was caught running a secret OnlyFans account has left Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid speechless after admitting she “didn’t think she would be caught” – and that she got her 14-year-old son’s permission first.
Kirsty Buchan, 34, appeared on the ITV breakfast show to defend her controversial decision to post explicit content online while working as a physics teacher at Bannerman High School in Glasgow.
Speaking to Susanna and co-host Richard Madeley, the mum-of-one made the jaw-dropping admission: “I didn’t think I would be caught, I didn’t think I would be famous.”
But it was her revelation about discussing the X-rated career move with her teenage son that left viewers – and the presenters – stunned.
‘I spoke to my son first’
In an extraordinary confession, Buchan revealed she had consulted her 14-year-old son before launching her adult content career.
“I spoke to my son before doing it, he’s 14 now,” she told the shocked presenters. “I’d used a different name, I’ve got my moniker Jessica Jackrabbit.
“I didn’t think I was going to get caught, a lot of people pretend to be teachers on the site.”
The single mother insisted: “We all need to take responsibility, of course I knew the risks involved. I’m a mum at the end of the day, my son comes first, paying my bills comes first.
The moment she was caught
Buchan’s secret double life came crashing down in November 2022 when excited schoolboys at Bannerman High stumbled across her racy content.
The school’s headteacher Seonaidh Black recalled the moment she discovered the scandal: “I was approached by some S5 and S6 boys, who were very excited. They were saying things like, ‘Have you heard the news?'”
“I was then told something like, ‘If you haven’t heard, when you do, you’re going to go ballistic. Look out for Jessica Jackrabbit’.”
Within hours, explicit photos from Buchan’s OnlyFans page were being shared among pupils, with one parent even emailing topless and lingerie shots to the headteacher from a student’s email account.
‘Good teacher gone BAD’
Under the pseudonym Jessica Jackrabbit X, Buchan had marketed herself with the tagline: “Good teacher gone bad…really bad 😈😜”
Her profile boasted of her “big tits and sexy tight body” with new photos posted “every couple of days” – content that was accessible to anyone who searched for her online persona.
The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) later found she had “used her profession as a selling tool,” making Bannerman High School “synonymous with having an OnlyFans teacher.”
£60,000 in ONE MONTH
Despite losing her teaching career, Buchan revealed she has no regrets – especially after raking in an eye-watering £60,000 in just one month from the adult platform.
“I’ve had only support. Messages of support from all my old colleagues and the schoolkids,” she claimed on GMB.
“I worked hard to get respect from them and build a positive relationship.”
The 34-year-old said her teaching salary had been slashed after she took time off to care for her sick son, who was awaiting an operation, forcing her to seek alternative income.
“I was crying my eyes out at my situation and I didn’t know which way to turn,” she previously explained. “I was staying up to 1am doing extra unpaid work and the stress was unbelievable.”
Struck off for life
This week, the GTCS formally struck Buchan off the teaching register, effectively banning her from ever teaching again in Scotland.
But the defiant mum dismissed the hearing as a “kangaroo court” and refused to attend, insisting: “They have applied Victorian values to behaviour that is socially acceptable in 2025.
She added: “I’m loyal and decent and I treat people properly. And I know I was a very good teacher because I really cared about the kids I taught. I’d have loved to have carried on with both but that was taken away from me.”
Students rally behind her
In a surprising twist, hundreds of former pupils have rallied to support their ex-teacher, flooding social media with messages of support.
One former student wrote: “She never did a thing wrong or was bad to anyone. Good on her for doing it for extra money. Just pathetic that she’s had to leave her job because of jealous people.”
Another added: “You were genuinely the best teacher anyone could have ever had because you were so kind and down to earth and passionate about teaching and you actually cared about every single pupil.”
The financial struggle
Buchan claimed she was driven to OnlyFans after the school refused to pay her while she cared for her sick child.
“The school weren’t paying me so I was crying my eyes out. I’ve got bills to pay and they said my wages would be docked if I took more than three days off to care for my sick son,” she explained.
Before turning to OnlyFans, she had tried other jobs including working at Tesco and as an elf at a Christmas event: “I was always a hard worker.
‘Victorian attitudes’
Hitting back at her critics, Buchan argued: “Why are we teaching females they cannot show their bodies to make money? The people complaining are just bored housewives whose husbands are on the site, it’s just jealousy.”
When asked how she would feel if her son’s teacher was on OnlyFans, she defiantly replied: “I would say ‘on yersel hen, if you’ve got it, flaunt it’. It’s nobody’s business to judge.”
The school’s response
Glasgow City Council confirmed Buchan had been “under investigation prior to tendering her resignation following the widespread distribution of wholly inappropriate and pornographic images.
The scandal erupted during a particularly turbulent time at Bannerman High, with teachers staging strikes over violent pupil behaviour – leading some to suggest the timing of the OnlyFans revelations was “coincidental or perhaps deliberate.
Life after teaching
Now focusing full-time on her OnlyFans career, Buchan remains unrepentant about her choices.
My images were illegally downloaded and shared with pupils,” she maintains. So I had no choice but to leave. I didn’t want to leave my job, but I also had to make more money.
As for her future? With nearly 400 subscribers and counting, Jessica Jackrabbit appears to be doing just fine without her teaching career.
“It has been a rollercoaster,” she admits. “But the subscriptions have been coming in thick and fast.”
