Influencer and mum forced emergency landing in CANADA after swearing at staff and demanding to get off Manchester to Jamaica flight – as passengers capture chaos on camera
Passengers erupted in cheers and applause as a TikTok influencer and her mother were hauled off a UK flight in handcuffs after their drunken antics forced an emergency landing in Canada.
The mother-daughter duo, who ran the account @angel777987, caused chaos aboard a TUI flight from Manchester to Jamaica on May 28, with footage showing dozens of holidaymakers clapping as police escorted the troublemakers off the aircraft.
Fellow passenger Mandy, who captured the shocking scenes on her TikTok account @balloonsbykandykrush, revealed the pair had been drinking heavily before boarding and continued their boozing spree throughout the flight.
PRE-FLIGHT PARTY PICS
The drama began even before takeoff, with the flight already delayed by more than two hours. Pictures uploaded by Angel, who boasts 42,000 TikTok followers, showed her and her mother posing with a cooler full of wine and prosecco in the airport bar.
The content creator was already shouting at her mother as they waited to board the jet at Manchester Airport, setting the tone for what was to come.
Once the flight finally took off at 11:40am – over two hours late from its scheduled 9:15am departure – the pair continued drinking from the plane’s duty-free service, according to witnesses.

MID-AIR MAYHEM
Mandy, who was sitting around nine rows ahead of the disruptive duo, described how the younger woman, known as Angel, became increasingly aggressive as the flight progressed.
The staff asked her politely God know how many times to calm down, and they made her sit down in her seat,” Mandy told social media followers.
The situation escalated dramatically when the influencer began swearing and shouting at staff, demanding to get off the plane while it was mid-flight – an impossible request that highlighted her intoxicated state.
CAPTAIN’S WARNING IGNORED
The captain initially announced that due to the reckless behaviour, there would be a delay in Jamaica as the passenger would be arrested upon landing.
But after airline staff briefly managed to calm the pair, they began causing chaos again, forcing crew members to take drastic action.
Angel was strapped into a seat at the back of the aircraft as her behaviour became increasingly unmanageable.
EMERGENCY LANDING IN CANADA
An announcement was then made over the PA system that sent shockwaves through the cabin – the flight would make an emergency landing in Canada.
The unscheduled stop meant the aircraft, which should have arrived in Jamaica at 12:40pm, didn’t touch down until 7:30pm – nearly seven hours late.
Once on the ground in Canada, uniformed police officers boarded the plane to remove the troublemakers.
MOTHER KICKS POLICE
The mother was arrested first after she allegedly kicked the officers attempting to detain her.
Footage posted to TikTok shows the woman shouting down the plane to her daughter while being led away in handcuffs, screaming “let me go” as passengers booed her behaviour.
Meanwhile, Angel appeared unbothered by the situation, smiling at fellow passengers and telling them “bye” as she was led off the aircraft in handcuffs.
PASSENGER CELEBRATION
Following the removal of both women, passengers on the aircraft erupted in cheers and applause once again, relieved that their journey to Jamaica could finally continue.
Mandy, who documented the entire ordeal, couldn’t resist adding some savage commentary to her TikTok posts.
Aww no flying for two years,” she quipped, before adding: “Journey home, enjoy Canada” as the pair were escorted off.
SIX-HOUR DELAY
The emergency landing and subsequent removal of the passengers caused massive disruption to everyone on board.
What should have been a straightforward flight to the Caribbean paradise turned into a nearly seven-hour delay, with the aircraft finally arriving in Jamaica at 7:30pm instead of the scheduled 12:40pm landing time.
SOCIAL MEDIA STORM
The incident quickly went viral on social media, with Mandy’s footage being shared thousands of times as viewers expressed their shock at the behaviour.
Comments flooded in from other travellers sharing their own airline horror stories and praising the crew for their handling of the situation.
Many pointed out the irony of a content creator providing such dramatic content for another TikToker’s account – though certainly not the type of viral moment Angel had likely hoped for.
AIRLINE RESPONSE
TUI has been contacted for comment regarding the incident and what consequences the pair may face for their actions.
Airlines typically impose flight bans on passengers who cause such significant disruptions, particularly when their behaviour forces an emergency landing.
The cost of an unscheduled landing can run into tens of thousands of pounds, which airlines may seek to recover from disruptive passengers.
GROWING PROBLEM
This incident adds to a growing list of air rage cases that have plagued airlines in recent years, with alcohol often playing a central role.
Aviation experts have called for stricter controls on airport drinking and tougher penalties for those who disrupt flights.
For the passengers aboard this particular flight to Jamaica, what should have been the start of a relaxing Caribbean holiday turned into a travel nightmare – all thanks to a mother and daughter who couldn’t handle their drink at 30,000 feet.
