A controversial social media influencer who fled the country to dodge court has been arrested after spending a year as a fugitive from British justice.
Harrison Sullivan, 24, known to millions online as HSTikkyTokky, was detained in the UK on Friday following a dramatic year-long manhunt by Surrey Police.
The fitness influencer and Misfits boxer had been on the run since November last year when he failed to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court to face a string of serious driving offences.
A Surrey Police spokesperson confirmed the arrest, stating that the man from Hutton, Essex was detained on Friday, 10 October for failing to appear at court for dangerous driving.
Sullivan appeared before magistrates on Saturday, 11 October and has been remanded in custody ahead of a further court appearance at Staines Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 14 October.
£220,000 McLaren Horror Smash
The social media star’s troubles began after he allegedly crashed his purple McLaren 720S supercar in a horror collision that left the luxury vehicle completely destroyed. Shocking photographs from the scene showed the driver’s side door completely caved in, with oil and petrol pouring onto the road as thick smoke billowed into the air.
Sullivan was due to face magistrates charged with multiple serious motoring offences, including failing to stop after the devastating crash which left his £220,000 motor a mangled wreck.
He also faced charges of using a mobile phone whilst driving and operating the vehicle without third party insurance, offences that could see him face substantial penalties if convicted.
International Fugitive
When Sullivan failed to show up for his November court date, Surrey Police immediately issued an arrest warrant and launched a public appeal for information on his whereabouts.
A police spokesperson at the time confirmed the influencer had links to Essex but was believed to have left the country entirely. Officers made a direct appeal to Sullivan to return to the UK and cooperate with authorities whilst simultaneously requesting the public’s help to locate him.
The controversial star was spotted in Qatar and other Middle Eastern locations throughout his time as a fugitive, continuing to post content on social media and even preparing for boxing matches whilst evading British justice.
Rise to Social Media Infamy
Sullivan gained enormous popularity on TikTok thanks to his brash fitness videos and explosive rows with fellow influencers. His confrontational style and controversial content quickly won him a devoted following of millions.
The 24-year-old later transitioned into influencer boxing, making his debut for Misfits Boxing against George Fenson in August. The promotion, co-founded by YouTube star KSI, pairs up social media personalities and celebrities for bouts that attract massive online audiences.
However, Sullivan’s career has been marked by controversy, with numerous platforms banning him for his conduct and behaviour both online and during live streams.
Year-Long Manhunt Ends
The fugitive influencer’s time on the run came to an abrupt end when he was apprehended by officers on Friday. He spent the weekend in custody before his brief court appearance on Saturday morning.
Magistrates refused bail and remanded Sullivan in custody, meaning he will remain behind bars until his next court appearance this week.
The case highlights the increasing scrutiny faced by social media influencers who find themselves on the wrong side of the law, with authorities making clear that online fame provides no protection from legal consequences.
Sullivan now faces the prospect of significant penalties if convicted of the driving offences, including potential imprisonment, hefty fines, and a lengthy driving ban.
His legal team is expected to enter pleas when he appears at Staines Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where the full details of the charges against him will be outlined.
The dramatic arrest brings to a close one of the more unusual manhunts involving a British social media personality, demonstrating that internet celebrity status cannot shield individuals from facing justice.
