Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson has confirmed his relationship with Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, posting photos of the couple together on Instagram for the first time.
The 35-year-old NBA player shared a photo carousel on Saturday featuring the “Hiss” rapper standing next to him during what appeared to be a tropical getaway. Thompson captioned his post “Sweet Bells son 🌴 🥥,” marking the first time either party has publicly acknowledged their relationship.
The confirmation follows days of speculation after eagle-eyed fans spotted Thompson lounging in the background of Megan’s poolside Instagram photos earlier in the week. The rapper, 30, had been promoting her Hot Girl Summer swimwear line when followers noticed the basketball player’s distinctive figure in the corner of one image.

Meg knows her way around the hardwood … she was linked with Chicago Bulls player Torrey Craig up until her Coachella performance in April — but seems like all plays are running through Klay now.
“Am I tripping cause I thought she was messing with Torrey Craig!?” one person asked on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Another fan added: “She looked up Torrey Craig stats and seen he averaged 4 points 😭😭😭😭😭😭.”
Craig, who was waived by the Bulls in February 2025 and subsequently signed with the Boston Celtics, averaged 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 26 games during the 2024-25 season. The 34-year-old forward had been linked to Megan after the pair appeared in a “Couples Challenge” TikTok in August 2024, though they never officially confirmed their relationship status.
Thompson’s romance with the Houston-born rapper comes during his first season with the Dallas Mavericks, following a historic 13-year run with the Golden State Warriors. The five-time NBA All-Star agreed on a three-year, $50 million contract with the Dallas Mavericks in July 2024.
The move to Dallas represented a significant change for Thompson, who had spent his entire career with the Warriors, winning four NBA championships. Thompson was a key part of Golden State’s dynasty as the team won championships in 2015, ’17, ’18 and ’22 and reached the NBA Finals in 2016 and ’19 as well.
