Rapper shares alleged threatening messages and nude images on fighter’s 37th birthday as social media platform removes content

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor found himself at the centre of fresh controversy on his 37th birthday after rapper Azealia Banks publicly accused him of sexual harassment and shared explicit photographs allegedly sent by the fighter.

Banks, 34, posted screenshots on social media platform X showing what she claimed were unsolicited nude photographs from McGregor, along with messages that appeared to show him warning her against going public. The platform subsequently removed the posts for violating content policies, though screenshots had already been widely circulated.

The alleged exchange included two full-frontal mirror selfies, with one message reading “lifting weights” in apparent reference to a weight attached to his genitals. Another message allegedly warned: “Don’t be a rat cos all rats get caught.”

Rapper’s Public Accusations

Banks did not hold back in her public statements, writing on X: “How you gonna send a bitch a some crooked d–k pics then threaten her not to tell. @TheNotoriousMMA n–a do you know who the f–k I am? This is HARAM.”

The Harlem-born rapper continued her tirade throughout Monday, questioning McGregor’s political aspirations and mocking his appearance. Like how are you really going to sexually harrass me with the potato farmer d–k then threaten me not to tell????” she added.

“Honey…… ain’t u trying to be the president of Ireland what is it giving fam? Use some f–king sunscreen, damn,” Banks wrote, referencing McGregor’s previously stated ambitions to run for the Irish presidency.

Screenshots indicated Banks received the alleged messages early on Monday morning, with no prior exchange visible. At the time of publication, McGregor was still following Banks on the social media platform.

Legal Implications

The allegations could carry serious legal consequences for McGregor. Under the UK’s Online Safety Act 2023, sending unsolicited explicit images can result in fines and potential imprisonment. Several social media users urged Banks to report the incident to police.

Report Conor to the Police as he’s breaking The Online Safety Act 2023 which carries a fine and or prison, as well as placed on the register,” one user commented on the posts before they were removed.

McGregor has not issued any public response to the allegations. Representatives for the fighter and the UFC have remained silent on the matter.

Pattern of Controversies

The incident adds to a growing list of legal troubles for McGregor, who has not competed in the UFC since July 2021 due to injury. In November 2024, a Dublin High Court jury found him liable for sexually assaulting Nikita Hand in December 2018, ordering him to pay €248,000 in damages. McGregor has denied wrongdoing and is appealing the verdict.

The fighter also faces an ongoing civil case in the United States, where a woman alleges he sexually assaulted her during Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Miami’s Kaseya Center in June 2023. McGregor has denied these allegations through his legal counsel.

Just days before Banks’ accusations, photographs emerged showing McGregor kissing an unidentified woman on a beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The woman was not his long-term fiancée Dee Devlin, with whom he has four children.

Social Media Reaction

The allegations sparked immediate and widespread reaction across social media platforms. “Conor McGregor’s falloff has been generational,” one user commented, whilst another wrote: “Wasn’t expecting to see Conor McGregor dick pics on this fine Monday morning.”

Some users questioned the authenticity of the images, with claims they appeared to be artificially generated. However, Banks maintained her stance throughout the day, posting additional messages mocking McGregor and calling for accountability.

“You think I’m scared of some cauliflower-eared cokehead in a bathrobe sending limp threats? I’m from HARLEM. Try me,” Banks wrote in one post.

Career Impact

The scandal could have significant implications for McGregor’s career and business ventures. The fighter has built a business empire around his brand, including his Proper No. Twelve whiskey and various endorsement deals.

His political ambitions may also be affected. McGregor recently announced intentions to run for the Irish presidency during an appearance on an anti-immigration platform, having been outspoken in his opposition to the European Union migration pact.

Banks is known for her provocative social media presence and has engaged in public feuds with various celebrities. In June 2025, she made headlines after declaring herself a Zionist and was subsequently dropped from the Boomtown festival lineup following controversial posts.

The silence from McGregor’s camp and the UFC suggests legal teams may be assessing the situation. As one social media user noted: “If this were ANYONE else, they’d be dropped in a heartbeat. Why is Conor McGregor still being protected?”
