Jaskarn ‘Jacky’ Jhaj blew fortune on vile mock ceremony at Sleeping Beauty’s castle – but authorities have NO IDEA where his money comes from
Cops are baffled over how a twisted paedophile funded his sickening £110,000 fake wedding to a nine-year-old girl at Disneyland Paris – with authorities admitting they have absolutely no clue where his money comes from.
Jaskarn “Jacky” Jhaj, 39, was arrested on Saturday after hiring out part of the theme park for a vile mock ceremony that saw a terrified Ukrainian child dressed in a wedding gown and tottering on four-inch heels taped to her feet.
The convicted sex offender – who changed his name by deed poll to “London JA” last August – is now being held by French police on fraud, identity theft and money laundering charges.
But in a stunning admission at Isleworth Crown Court this morning, cops revealed they’re completely in the dark about how the fame-obsessed predator bankrolls his twisted stunts.
‘We can’t explain his wealth’: Cops’ stunning admission
Benedict Scantlebury, representing the Metropolitan Police, made the extraordinary confession as authorities sought to beef up Jhaj’s sexual harm prevention order.
I can’t make any submissions as to the provenance of his wealth,” he admitted to the court.
“But he’s a man who clearly seems to have the ability to draw on significant sums of money and he’s willing to use that money to spend hundreds of thousands.”
The shocking revelation came as the court heard how Jhaj has registered multiple firms with Companies House to arrange and pay for his films, naming as directors people who “do not appear to be genuine.
The sick stunts that cost a fortune
The Disney debacle is just the latest in a string of expensive hoaxes orchestrated by the dangerous predator:
The Leicester Square con – October 2023: Jhaj rented out the Odeon in Leicester Square for a fake film premiere, hiring hundreds of kids to act as his fawning fans. Some children were in primary school, with teen girls asked to scream for him and try to touch him.
The phantom funeral – March 2024: The sicko shelled out £10,000 for an elaborate fake funeral at Brompton Cemetery in West London, hiring around 100 mourners including young girls. He’d booked using a fake name and the actors were unaware he was a sex offender.
The Bugatti stunt – June 2024: He pulled up in a rented Bugatti supercar worth millions outside a dance school in Tower Hamlets, East London, handing out gifts to students aged between eight and 14.
The exploding van – August 2024: In perhaps his most bizarre stunt, Jhaj staged a shoot near the O2 where he blew up a mocked-up BBC News-branded lorry while completely naked. Firefighters were called to the massive blast.
‘I think I’m about to get arrested’: Chilling 999 call
The court heard disturbing details of Jhaj’s behaviour on film sets. In 2021, cops were called over concerns about his behaviour towards a “young girl” on set.
A 999 caller told police Jhaj “tried to get himself and the female actress in a room together”, adding that he left in a hurry saying “I think I’m about to get arrested.
A trailer from one film – shown to the court this morning – depicted Jhaj apparently firing a machine gun from the top of an armoured car at National Trust-owned mansion Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire.
The topless predator video
Detective Constable Andy Hawes of the Metropolitan Police testified he had “no doubt” the sicko was responsible for a shocking two-hour YouTube video from 2020.
The dash cam-shot footage showed the topless pervert driving around picking up girls outside schools, with one victim in school uniform.
The video described Jhaj in a title card as a “dangerous sexual predator” and promised: “This footage has never before been seen. Until now.”
‘Display of defiance’: The O2 explosion
DC Hawes said blowing up a lorry at the O2 was a “display of defiance towards the authorities”.
On Friday, the court was told: “The crew did not know that he would be naked during the shoot, and one of the drone operators filming the shoot had his children present at the scene.
Jhaj is suspected of uploading videos from his stunts online using anonymous bot accounts on social media sites.
The £130,000 Disney nightmare
The Disneyland horror show saw Jhaj splash out a staggering €130,000 (£110,000) to book out part of the theme park.
Around 100 extras had been hired to pose as congregation members, with the wedding thought to have been filmed by wannabe director Jhaj.
Cops were called to the vile event by an actor hired to play the dad of the nine-year-old Ukrainian bride, who’d been flown out two days before the sick ceremony.
The 39-year-old is currently wanted by Scotland Yard for breaching court orders imposed when he was caged for four years in 2016 for molesting two 15-year-old girls.
Europe escape after name change
Jhaj, who changed his name by deed poll last August to “London JA”, was last seen leaving the UK for Milan in November.
The pervert had been trying to escape justice after his long history of breaching court orders designed to protect children from his predatory behaviour.
Police want loophole closed
Mr Scantlebury told the court that police wanted to close a loophole in Jhaj’s existing sexual harm prevention order that meant he could hire child actors for his stunts as long as they are accompanied by a chaperone.
Given his elaborate schemes to access children through fake film productions, authorities are desperate to tighten restrictions on the convicted paedophile.
The questions that remain
As Jhaj sits in a French cell awaiting justice, the mystery of his funding remains unsolved. How does a convicted sex offender access hundreds of thousands of pounds for his sick fantasies?
With multiple fake companies registered and directors who don’t appear to exist, the web of deception runs deep.
One thing is certain – until authorities can cut off his mysterious money supply, this “dangerous sexual predator” will continue to find ways to target innocent children.
The nine-year-old victim at the centre of his latest horror has been medically examined and confirmed to be physically unharmed, though the psychological damage of being dressed as a bride for a paedophile’s twisted fantasy may last a lifetime.
