Defense Minister Katz promises ‘very significant’ strikes TODAY as Trump storms out of G7 summit declaring: ‘I want a complete give-up by Iran’

Israel dramatically escalated its assault on Iran’s nuclear program yesterday, with Defense Minister Israel Katz warning the Jewish state is “on the verge” of destroying more than 10 atomic targets in Tehran alone.

Speaking at the scene of an Iranian missile strike in central Israel, Katz delivered a chilling ultimatum: “The Israeli Air Force will strike very significant targets, strategic targets, targets of the regime and infrastructure” in the Iranian capital today.

His threats came as the World Health Organization expressed grave fears that strikes near Tehran’s atomic facilities could trigger a radiation disaster affecting millions across the Middle East.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus took to social media platform X to warn that the “escalation of violence” was “extremely concerning,” adding he was “particularly concerned” about reports of strikes near nuclear installations.

TRUMP’S DRAMATIC G7 WALKOUT

In a stunning diplomatic snub, President Donald Trump yesterday abandoned fellow world leaders at the G7 summit in Canada, refusing to sign a joint statement calling for de-escalation before storming out a day early.

I have to be back early for obvious reasons,” Trump told reporters, later revealing on Air Force One that he wanted a “complete give-up” by Iran on its nuclear ambitions.

I’m not looking for a ceasefire, we’re looking at better than a ceasefire,” the president declared. “An end, a real end, not a ceasefire.”

The president then launched an extraordinary attack on French President Emmanuel Macron, who had suggested Trump was returning to Washington to work on a ceasefire deal.

He’s publicity seeking,” Trump fumed. “He’s a nice guy but he doesn’t get it right too often.”

NUCLEAR WATCHDOG’S RADIATION WARNING

The UN’s nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi confirmed that Israel’s strikes had already caused damage at Iran’s main Natanz enrichment facility, warning of possible “radiological and chemical contamination.

Nuclear facilities must never be attacked regardless of circumstances,” Grossi declared in an emergency statement, revealing that “radioactive contamination” was already present inside the Natanz facility.

The IAEA reported that while radiation levels outside Natanz remained unchanged, the situation inside required “appropriate protective measures” to manage contamination.

‘NOBODY’S SLOWING UP’

Trump warned that Israel had no intention of halting its offensive, telling reporters aboard Air Force One: “The Israelis aren’t slowing up their barrage on Iran… You’re going to find out over the next two days. Nobody’s slowed up so far.”

The president issued an ominous threat that America would “come down hard” on Tehran if provoked, warning: “If they touch US troops, the gloves are off.

UNDERGROUND TARGETS IN CROSSHAIRS

Defense Minister Katz specifically identified Iran’s underground Fordow facility as “an issue that will certainly be addressed,” despite its location deep beneath a mountain designed to withstand aerial bombardment.

There are more than 10 nuclear targets” in Tehran alone, Katz revealed, claiming Israel was poised to deliver a knockout blow to Iran’s atomic ambitions.

The comments represent a significant escalation from Israel’s initial strikes on Friday, which killed at least 78 people including top military commanders and nuclear scientists.

DEATH TOLL MOUNTS

Iran’s UN envoy Amir Saeid Iravani revealed the devastating human cost of Israel’s campaign, confirming 78 deaths and more than 320 injuries, “most of them civilians.

Among the dead were some of Iran’s most senior military figures, including Revolutionary Guard chief Hossein Salami and several leading nuclear scientists.

Iranian state media reported that 60 people, including 29 children, were killed when a missile brought down a 14-story apartment block in Tehran on Saturday.

G7 IN DISARRAY

The G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, descended into chaos as Trump’s abrupt departure left fellow leaders scrambling to salvage any meaningful agreements.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had abandoned hopes of a comprehensive communique, instead opting for “chair summaries” to avoid a repeat of the 2018 summit disaster when Trump withdrew US approval after leaving.

A European diplomat confirmed that without Trump’s presence, it was unclear whether any declarations would be issued at all.

RADIATION FEARS GROW

Iran’s Ministry of Health issued urgent warnings to Tehran residents to stay away from windows and glass surfaces, though insisted “there are currently no concerns regarding nuclear radiation.

The IAEA confirmed damage at both the Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities, with the latter suffering damage to four “critical buildings.”

OIL FIELDS ABLAZE

Israel expanded its assault beyond nuclear targets, with Iranian state media reporting that flames erupted at the South Pars gas field – the world’s largest natural gas reserve.

Video footage showed massive blazes and plumes of smoke rising from the facility in Iran’s southern Bushehr province, after what Tehran said was an Israeli drone strike.

TRUMP’S NUCLEAR ULTIMATUM

The president made clear that diplomatic options were rapidly closing, despite two months of backchannel negotiations that collapsed when Iran rejected Washington’s final offer.

They should have done the deal,” Trump said of Tehran, adding he was “not too much in the mood to negotiate” after Iran came “very close” to developing nuclear weapons.

As Israeli warplanes prepare for today’s promised strikes on Tehran, the world holds its breath – with radiation monitors at the ready and millions of civilians in the firing line of what could become the Middle East’s most catastrophic confli
