Lily Phillips’ heartbroken parents were in tears discussing their notorious daughter’s adult career on a BBC documentary – and revealed they would sell their house if it meant she would stop producing explicit content.

The 24-year-old adult content star from Derbyshire, who has made a name and substantial income on the controversial subscription site OnlyFans, appeared in a raw and emotional episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, where she was joined by her parents Lindsay and Emma for their regular Sunday catch-up.

The BBC journalist guided the family through a brutally honest conversation about Lily’s job, prompting a flood of emotions and painful admissions from the OnlyFans star’s parents during the documentary that aired on Monday night.

Parents’ Painful Revelation

In the candid chat, Lily’s father Lindsay, 59, admitted: “We’ve known for years she’s done OnlyFans and I thought it was just posing in swimwear and lingerie.”

Her mother Emma added: “When she said she was doing OnlyFans, we stood back because we want to continue our relationship with our daughter. We were pretty open with it, but when it went to the next step, we were like ‘no, no’.”

The emotion proved overwhelming as Lily, clearly shaken, tried to hold her composure whilst watching the pain on her parents’ faces. Her father made a desperate plea that left viewers stunned.

“If there’s anything we could do to change her profession, we’d do it overnight,” he said. “It’s the ‘degradingness’ of it and making sure that she’s safe.”

In a particularly poignant moment, he added: “Sometimes we think have we done anything wrong with her upbringing, well as far as I’m concerned we’ve had nothing but nice times and love… Is it money? Because if it was money, we’d sell our house. You could have everything you want Lily if you gave it all up now.”

Emotional Breakdown

The emotion in the room became unbearable as Lily, visibly shaken, walked out of the room mid-conversation.

She told producers: “I don’t want to be on camera, I just need a moment.”

Her parents, also in tears, admitted they never meant to upset her, but revealed the devastating toll her career has taken on the entire family.

“I get calls from random people saying ‘I hope your daughter dies,'” her father revealed, highlighting the abuse the family has endured.

Despite the emotional confrontation, Lily told Stacey: “I understand and respect how they feel and that’s that.”

Million-Pound Earnings

The documentary revealed staggering details about Phillips’ earnings from her controversial career. Though visibly uncomfortable discussing money, the OnlyFans sensation eventually confessed to being a multi-millionaire.

“So the subscribers, they’ll give a tenner and she’s got 33,000 so that’s £330,000 (approximately $430,000) a month,” Stacey revealed during the programme.

Lily responded: “I’m so English, I find money so uncomfortable to talk about… I find it a little bit distasteful.”

The star, who claims she has slept with over 1,000 men, earned a seven-figure sum from one of her most viral videos where she allegedly had sex with 100 men in a single day – a stunt that catapulted her to international notoriety.

No Plans to Stop

Despite her parents’ emotional pleas, Lily revealed she has no intention of abandoning her career, saying she doesn’t view it as “distasteful.”

“I can’t imagine what else I’d be doing. It gives me so much drive and a reason to wake up in the morning,” she said.

This is something that isn’t degrading for me – I still have to live my life how I want to.

The documentary revealed that Phillips has boasted of plans to break what she calls the “world record” and have sex with 1,000 men in 24 hours, though these plans were reportedly abandoned after fellow OnlyFans creator Bonnie Blue claimed to have already achieved a similar feat.

From Privilege to Controversy

Growing up in a wealthy home in the village of Denby, Derbyshire, Phillips enjoyed all the benefits her hard-working parents could provide – two holidays a year, private education opportunities, and luxury cars on the driveway of their spacious four-bedroom home.

Her father started life as a cleaner but established his own cleaning company when Lily was aged ten, bringing the family into financially comfortable status. The family would take skiing holidays in winter and luxurious summer breaks, with Lily describing her upbringing as “perfect.”

Speaking exclusively to media outlets, Phillips said: “I didn’t get into OnlyFans because I was desperate for money. My parents loved to spoil us, I had a very comfortable, happy life. It was the picture-perfect childhood and I had amazing parents.”

Public Backlash

The decision to feature Phillips on Stacey Dooley’s programme sparked immediate controversy, with viewers divided over giving the adult content creator a platform.

“Really disappointing, just don’t think Stacey Dooley should be promoting or giving this girl a platform. Lowest derivative entertainment, a real regression in content from Stacey,” one viewer commented on social media.

Another added: “Pretty grim giving that deviant airtime, not a single positive thing can come from the trainwreck of her life, screams of the worst clickbait.”

However, some viewers were intrigued, with one writing: “I was so touched by the documentary that came out about her and have been wanting to hear more about her. Stacey is the perfect person for this.”

Early Sexual Interest

The documentary revealed Phillips claims to have watched her first pornographic film at age 13, telling Dooley: “I don’t know why but I’ve been obsessed with sex from a young age. I was always more into sex than my friends and was always talking about it at school.”

By the time she enrolled at university to study nutrition, Phillips admits she had already “slept with hundreds of guys on nights out” and thought: “I might as well get paid for this.”

She initially told her parents it was “just webcam work” and that “as long as I was being safe, they accepted that.”

Series Controversy

Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over returned for its sixth series on U&W, with the episode featuring Phillips airing as the season premiere. The series, produced by Firecracker Films, continues to focus on people living outside the mainstream.

Dooley, 38, expressed excitement about the new season despite the backlash: “I’m thrilled to be back for another series of Sleeps Over! The themes we touch on feel incredibly timely. As always, a sincere thank you to those families who agree to open their doors.”

The emotional documentary has reignited debates about the exploitation and normalisation of extreme sexual content online, with Phillips remaining defiant about her career choices despite her parents’ heartbreak.
