Trump Furious Over Time Magazine Cover Photo That ‘Disappeared’ His Hair During Gaza Ceasefire Celebration

Donald Trump has lashed out at Time Magazine over what he described as the “worst of all time” cover photo, despite the publication praising his role in brokering a Gaza ceasefire deal.

The magazine released its latest cover to celebrate the President’s signing of the historic peace agreement ending the two-year bloody Israel-Hamas war. However, the low-angle photograph has sparked fury from Trump, who claims it makes him appear to have a bald patch.

Leaders from across the globe gathered in Egypt to witness Trump sign the peace plan following the release of the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza. The President hailed the document as “the dawn of a new era” in the region.

Presidential Rage at ‘Super Bad Picture’

In the Time Magazine cover photo, Trump’s face is captured from below with beatific lighting that obscures his hair and creates what the President described as a floating effect. The cover article, headlined “His triumph,” offers a glowing analysis of Trump’s Middle East accomplishment.

But the image enraged the President, who took to Truth Social at 1.30am to express his displeasure. “Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time,” Trump wrote to his followers.

“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”

Magazine Praises ‘Signature Achievement’

Despite Trump’s anger over the photograph, the content accompanying the cover appeared overwhelmingly positive towards the President. In a social media post on X, Time hailed Trump’s latest agreement as the “signature achievement” of his second term.

“The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release,” Time wrote alongside the photo. “The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”

The historic agreement has been celebrated by international leaders as a breakthrough in one of the world’s longest-running conflicts.

Historic Speech at Knesset

During his speech in Israel’s parliament, known as the Knesset, on Monday, Trump shared his hope that the signing would officially end the decades-long conflict between Israel and Gaza.

“You’ve won,” Trump told Israeli politicians. “Now it is time to translate these victories against terrorists on the battlefield into the ultimate prize of peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East.”

The President promised to help rebuild Gaza following years of destruction and urged Palestinians to “turn forever from the path of terror and violence”. His remarks were met with standing ovations from members of the Knesset.

The ceasefire deal represents a major diplomatic victory for Trump’s administration, coming early in his second term and fulfilling a key campaign promise to bring peace to the troubled region.

Supporters Rally Behind President

Trump’s supporters quickly rallied to his defence, criticising Time Magazine for selecting what they deemed an unflattering angle of the US leader. Kari Lake, the acting chief executive of the US Agency for Global Media and a longtime supporter of the President, posted a fake version of the Time cover on X.

The edited photo shows Trump staring straight ahead with his hair in full view, along with the caption “Trump’s Triumph: Bringing Peace to the World”. The post garnered thousands of likes and shares from Trump supporters who echoed the President’s complaints about the original image.

Social media users debated whether the magazine’s choice of photograph was deliberate or simply an artistic decision. Some defended Time’s editorial choices, whilst others claimed the unflattering angle was intended to undermine Trump’s achievement.

The controversy over the cover photo has somewhat overshadowed discussion of the actual peace deal, with attention shifting from the diplomatic breakthrough to the President’s appearance. Time Magazine has not yet responded to Trump’s criticism or issued a statement about the photograph selection.

The Gaza ceasefire agreement marks the end of a conflict that has claimed tens of thousands of lives over two years of intense fighting.
