Cleveland Police have issued an urgent appeal for public assistance in locating 25-year-old Olivia Walker, who has been missing for more than a week after she was last seen getting into an unidentified vehicle in Middlesbrough.

The missing woman was last spotted in the Penistone Road area of Park End on June 26, prompting what officers are describing as a “frantic search” for her whereabouts. Police released the appeal on Monday night, July 7, marking nearly two weeks since Walker’s disappearance.

Walker is described as white, of slim build, and approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. Officers have been unable to provide a description of the clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance, adding to the challenges facing investigators.

Officers are asking for the public’s help to find missing 25-year-old Olivia Walker who was last seen getting into a vehicle in the Penistone Road area of Middlesbrough on 26th June,” Cleveland Police stated in their official appeal. The force has not released any details about the vehicle Walker was seen entering, including its make, model, color, or registration number.

The lack of information about the vehicle has become a critical gap in the investigation. Police have not indicated whether they have identified the vehicle through CCTV footage or witness statements, nor have they revealed whether Walker appeared to enter the vehicle willingly.

Walker’s disappearance adds to growing concerns about missing persons cases in the Cleveland Police area, which covers Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, and Stockton-on-Tees. The force has emphasized that Walker has “many links to Stockton,” expanding the potential search area beyond Middlesbrough.

Park End, where Walker was last seen, is located in the southern part of Middlesbrough. The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Middlesbrough South policing district, which includes neighborhoods such as Park End and Beckfield, Hemlington, and Coulby Newham.

The timing of Walker’s disappearance, during late June’s warmer weather, has raised additional concerns among investigators and family members about her welfare. Police have not indicated whether they are treating the disappearance as suspicious or if there are concerns for Walker’s safety.

“Olivia is white, of slim build and approximately 5’4″ tall. Unfortunately we don’t currently have a description of her clothing,” the police statement noted, highlighting the limited information available to assist in the search efforts.

Cleveland Police have urged anyone with information about Walker’s whereabouts to come forward immediately. The force has established a dedicated reference number for the case – 124479 – which should be quoted when providing information.

The appeal comes as missing persons cases continue to challenge law enforcement agencies across the UK. According to national statistics, someone is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, with the majority of cases involving young people and vulnerable adults.

Local community groups in both Middlesbrough and Stockton have been asked to remain vigilant and report any potential sightings. The police have not indicated whether search teams have been deployed or if specialized units have been brought in to assist with the investigation.

Residents in the Park End area have been particularly urged to check CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, and doorbell cameras from June 26 for any signs of Walker or the vehicle she was seen entering. Police have emphasized that even seemingly insignificant details could prove crucial to the investigation.

The case has drawn comparisons to other missing persons investigations in the Cleveland area, though police have cautioned against speculation and urged the public to focus on factual information that could assist in locating Walker.

Cleveland Police operate a dedicated missing persons protocol, working closely with other agencies and organizations to coordinate search efforts. The force’s Neighbourhood Policing Teams in both Middlesbrough and Stockton have been alerted to Walker’s disappearance.

Anyone who may have seen Walker or who has information about her current whereabouts is urged to contact Cleveland Police immediately via the 101 non-emergency number, quoting reference 124479. In an emergency or if Walker is sighted, members of the public should call 999.

The police have not indicated whether Walker’s family has issued any public appeals or statements regarding her disappearance. Privacy considerations often limit the amount of personal information that can be released during active missing persons investigations.

As the search enters its second week, the urgency of the situation continues to grow. Police resources remain focused on tracing Walker’s movements after she entered the vehicle on June 26 and establishing her current location.

Members of the public are reminded not to approach any situation they believe might be connected to the case but instead to contact police immediately with any relevant information.
