Ex-Russian president Medvedev claims American bombing of Tehran’s atomic sites has BACKFIRED in extraordinary 10-point rant gathering millions of views

Vladimir Putin’s attack dog Dmitry Medvedev has sensationally claimed that a “number of countries” are now ready to hand nuclear warheads to Iran after US strikes on its atomic facilities.

The former Russian president launched an extraordinary anti-American tirade on X/Twitter early Sunday, taunting that Donald Trump’s bombing campaign had spectacularly backfired.

In a venomous post viewed more than three million times, Medvedev suggested the US attacks on three nuclear sites in Isfahan, Natanz and Fordow had achieved the opposite of what Trump intended.

‘NUCLEAR WEAPONS WILL CONTINUE’

“Enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue,” the Kremlin hardliner boasted in his English-language rant.

The 59-year-old, who served as Russia’s president from 2008 to 2012, brazenly claimed that nations were now “ready to directly supply Iran with their nuclear ammunition.

His inflammatory comments came after US B-2 stealth bombers dropped bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facilities in what Trump called a “very successful attack.

According to Newsweek, the strikes targeted three crucial nuclear sites across the Persian Gulf nation, with Trump claiming Iran’s enrichment capabilities had been “completely and totally obliterated.

TRUMP ‘STARTED NEW WAR’

But Medvedev, now Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, mocked the American president’s military action in a scathing 10-point takedown.

Donald Trump, once hailed as ‘president of peace,’ has now pushed the US into another war,” he sneered, adding: “At this rate, Trump can forget about the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Putin loyalist claimed Iran’s political regime had “survived — and in all likelihood, has come out even stronger” following the US strikes.

He also suggested Iranians were now “rallying around the country’s spiritual leadership, including those who were previously indifferent or opposed to it.”

ISRAEL ‘UNDER ATTACK’

Medvedev painted a dire picture of the regional situation, claiming: “Israel is under attack, explosions are rocking the country, and people are panicking.

He warned that “the US is now entangled in a new conflict, with prospects of a ground operation looming on the horizon,” according to Reuters reports.

The Russian official’s inflammatory post broke down the aftermath into ten numbered points, each designed to humiliate Trump and America’s military intervention.

His claims came as Israel continued attacking Iran into Sunday, with Tehran launching fresh strikes on several Israeli cities in retaliation.

BUNKER BUSTERS DEPLOYED

The US military operation involved 125 aircraft and saw American forces drop massive GBU-57 “bunker buster” bombs for the first time in combat history, according to Al Jazeera.

Air Force Chief Dan Caine revealed the strikes used these enormous bombs on the Fordow and Natanz facilities, whilst Navy submarines fired more than two dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles at Isfahan.

Trump declared the strikes “a spectacular military success,” claiming Iran’s nuclear ambitions had been destroyed.

But satellite imagery analysed by CNN showed at least six large craters at Fordow, though the extent of underground damage remains unclear.

PUTIN’S POTENTIAL SUCCESSOR

Medvedev, regarded by some as a potential successor to Putin, has earned a reputation for increasingly venomous social media tirades since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The former president’s latest rant follows warnings from the Kremlin that US strikes on Iran would plunge the entire region into the “abyss.

Russia’s foreign ministry strongly condemned the attacks, claiming they undermined the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

“It is already obvious that a dangerous escalation has begun, fraught with further undermining of regional and global security,” Moscow warned.

CONGRESS BACKLASH

The strikes have also sparked fury in Washington, with Representative Ro Khanna calling Trump’s actions “unconstitutional” and demanding Congress vote on war powers.

Stopping Iran from having a nuclear bomb is a top priority, but dragging the US into another Middle East war is not the solution,” the California Democrat told Newsweek.

Republican Thomas Massie went further, with Trump threatening to personally campaign against the Kentucky congressman after he criticised the strikes as breaking a campaign promise.

IRAN VOWS RETALIATION

Iranian officials have vowed to retaliate against the US strikes, with senior advisor Mehdi Mohammadi making chilling threats.

“In order to cut off America’s hand, Netanyahu’s throat must be cut,” he wrote on social media, according to reports.

As tensions spiral out of control, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned the attacks marked “a perilous turn in a region that is already reeling.

With Medvedev’s nuclear threats hanging in the air and Iran promising revenge, fears are mounting that Trump’s strikes could trigger an even deadlier Middle East conflagration.
