Princess Andre has spoken publicly for the first time about her parents’ long-running feud, hours after her father Peter Andre released a scathing statement about ex-wife Katie Price.

The 18-year-old daughter of the celebrity former couple took to Snapchat for a candid Q&A with her followers today, addressing the ongoing tensions between her parents. Her comments came just hours after Peter, 52, broke his silence with an explosive social media post accusing his ex-wife of spreading “lies” about their children’s welfare.

The Mysterious Girl singer’s shock statement followed Katie’s recent podcast comments about their children’s living arrangements, with the former glamour model claiming she had been “banned” from Princess’s new ITV2 reality show. Katie, 47, quickly hit back, declaring through her representatives that she “will no longer be gaslighted and bullied” and that the matter is “now in her lawyers’ hands.”

Princess Remains Neutral in Parents’ War of Words

While the celebrity pair continue their public battle, Princess appears determined to maintain her neutrality. When asked by a fan during her Snapchat Q&A session whether her parents’ acrimonious relationship affects her, the teenager delivered a measured response.

“To be honest it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don’t even have any memory of them being together,” Princess said in a short video message.

Over the clip, she added text that read: “I love my mum and dad and that’s all that matters.

The mature response from the 18-year-old influencer comes amid escalating tensions between her parents, who haven’t seen eye-to-eye since their bitter split in 2009 after four years of marriage.

Peter Andre Breaks 16-Year Silence

Peter’s bombshell statement marks the first time he has publicly addressed Katie’s claims in detail. Taking to Instagram, the singer-turned-presenter accused his ex-wife of making “repeated lies” over the past 16 years.

“For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today,” Peter wrote.

He specifically addressed Katie’s recent comments about their children’s living arrangements, stating: “For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood.”

The I’m A Celebrity star revealed that family courts had issued a “legally binding order” in 2019 to enforce this arrangement, information he claimed he had never made public before “out of respect for my children.

Peter also referenced previous court cases from 2011 and 2015, where he claimed Katie was found to have made “false claims” and was ordered to pay “substantial damages and legal costs” as well as issue an apology to him and his management team.

“The same falsehoods are being repeated today,” he added. “Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.”

Katie Price Hits Back at “Gaslighting” Claims

Katie’s response to Peter’s statement was swift and defiant. Through a spokesperson, the mother-of-five insisted she is “in a much better and clear headspace” and “at peace with the situation.”

“This was in the past and she doesn’t feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyers hands,” the statement read.

“Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was.”

The latest flare-up in their feud was triggered by Katie’s comments on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, where she discussed being excluded from Princess’s reality series, The Princess Diaries, and her milestone 18th birthday celebrations.

The Princess Diaries Controversy

Katie claimed on her podcast that she had been “banned” from appearing on Princess’s new ITV2 show, which premiered on Sunday. The series, produced by Peter’s management company CAN Associates, follows Princess as she navigates life as an influencer and celebrity offspring.

I haven’t watched the show, but people have told me how proud I should be of the kids and how Princess does talk highly of me all the way through it,” Katie said on her podcast.

“So although I’m not in the show she speaks about me all the time which is really sweet but why wouldn’t she because she lives with me.”

Katie went on to claim that contrary to public perception, the children had never lived solely with Peter: “This is another thing I need to clear up, the kids have never lived just with Pete, we’ve shared the kids.”

It was this claim that prompted Peter’s furious response, with the singer insisting the children had been in his primary care since 2018 for “well-documented reasons” and “for their safety.”

Claire Powell Weighs In

Adding fuel to the fire, Peter’s manager Claire Powell appeared to back her client with a cryptic Instagram post shortly after his statement.

She shared a message that read: “The most dangerous anger comes from someone with a good heart. They hold it in, stay calm, and forgive, until one day they can’t anymore. Don’t push a good person too far.”

The post was widely interpreted as support for Peter’s decision to finally speak out against his ex-wife’s claims.

A History of Acrimony

Katie and Peter’s relationship has been fraught with conflict since their split in 2009. The couple, who met on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 and married the following year, endured a highly publicised divorce.

Shortly after their separation, Katie accused Peter of cheating – claims for which she later had to pay damages. Over the years, she has taken numerous public swipes at his career, his absence from her eldest son Harvey’s life, and his wife Doctor Emily Andre, whom he married in 2015.

The feud has had lasting impacts on all involved. In her 2022 documentary, Katie Price: Trauma And Me, Katie revealed she had been diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder and had entered The Priory for treatment.

She later disclosed that her children had saved her from a suicide attempt amid her battle with PTSD and depression, highlighting the toll the ongoing conflicts have taken on her mental health.

Princess’s Perspective on Her Childhood

Despite Princess’s composed response to questions about her parents’ feud, the teenager has previously opened up about the challenges of growing up in such a public and fractured family dynamic.

In her new reality series, Princess revealed she has sought counselling to deal with her experiences. “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then. But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes,” she shared.

“I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”

These revelations provide context to her mature handling of questions about her parents’ relationship, suggesting a young woman who has developed coping mechanisms to deal with her unique family situation.

The Path Forward

As the feud between Katie Price and Peter Andre shows no signs of abating, Princess Andre’s measured response offers a glimmer of hope. Her declaration that she loves both parents equally, despite their inability to co-exist peacefully, demonstrates remarkable emotional intelligence for someone so young.

With legal teams now reportedly involved on both sides, the public nature of this family dispute seems set to continue. However, Princess’s determination to remain neutral and focus on her own burgeoning career – including her new reality show and influencer activities – suggests she is carving out her own path independent of her parents’ ongoing conflict.

For now, the 18-year-old appears committed to maintaining relationships with both parents while refusing to be drawn into their battles. Her simple message – “I love my mum and dad and that’s all that matters” – stands in stark contrast to the bitter exchanges between the adults in her life.
