‘Don’t even THINK about it!’ Moscow cautions Washington as Trump considers joining war while conflict enters sixth day

Russia has issued an explosive warning to the United States against providing military support to Israel as the Jewish state’s bombing campaign against Iran enters its sixth day with no end in sight.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov delivered the stark message on Wednesday, cautioning that direct U.S. military assistance to Israel could “radically destabilise” the already volatile Middle East situation.

The Kremlin diplomat was quoted by Interfax news agency warning Washington against supplying such assistance – “or even considering it.”

TRUMP’S 48-HOUR ULTIMATUM

The dramatic Russian intervention comes as White House officials indicated Iran has just 24 to 48 hours to surrender and save itself from American military intervention.

President Trump is reportedly considering joining Israel’s war after growing frustrated with Tehran’s response to Israeli bombing that began on Friday.

In a provocative Truth Social post yesterday, Trump claimed he knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei is hiding but would not launch a strike “yet” – before adding in capital letters: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!

SITUATION ROOM CRISIS TALKS

Sources told ABC News that Trump met with advisors in the White House Situation Room on Tuesday, with the President increasingly frustrated by Iran’s manner of response since Israel began its bombing campaign.

The President will also not want the situation to develop to a point where it appears Iran has called his bluff,” insiders revealed.

A White House spokesperson maintained that U.S. forces in the Middle East remained in a “defensive posture” – despite a flurry of military activity with American ships and planes moving to the region’s frontiers.

ISRAEL PROMISES ‘SURPRISE’

Adding to the tension, Israeli officials have cryptically promised a “surprise” on Thursday night similar to their devastating pager attack on Hezbollah leadership.

The conflict, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion” by Israel, has seen waves of strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities and military infrastructure, with Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists among the casualties.

MOSCOW IN CONTACT

Ryabkov confirmed that Russia was maintaining diplomatic channels with both Israel and Iran as the crisis deepens.

The Russian warning represents a significant escalation in Moscow’s rhetoric, with the deputy foreign minister specifically cautioning against U.S. involvement in what has become the most serious direct confrontation between Israel and Iran in decades.

SIX DAYS OF WAR

The conflict entered its sixth day with:

NUCLEAR FEARS

Russia has particular concerns about the Bushehr nuclear power plant, which Moscow helped construct.

Ryabkov warned the situation was “extremely dangerous” and that damage to nuclear infrastructure could have “catastrophic” consequences for the entire region.

“So far, no serious damage has been done – but this is just a happy coincidence. The risks remain far too high,” he stated.

TRUMP’S DILEMMA

The President faces a critical decision in the coming hours:

Trump has repeatedly stated Iran “cannot have a nuclear weapon” – a position he’s held since 2011 and reiterated “no fewer than a dozen times” since taking office.

G7 DEPARTURE

In a sign of the crisis’s severity, Trump is set to depart the Group of Seven leaders’ summit in Canada a day early “because of what’s going on in the Middle East.

Before leaving, he warned residents of Tehran to evacuate the city as Israeli bombardment continues.

DIVIDED BASE

The potential for U.S. military involvement has divided Trump’s supporters, with influential conservative Tucker Carlson warning against supporting what he called the “war-hungry government” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

If Israel wants to wage this war, it has every right to do so… But not with America’s backing,” Carlson’s newsletter stated.

THE NEXT 48 HOURS

As the deadline approaches, all eyes are on Washington and Tehran to see whether:

The coming hours could determine whether the Middle East descends into all-out regional war or pulls back from the brink.
