The notorious TikTok personality known as Mizzy has disclosed he is a father-of-two and now works in construction, marking a dramatic turnaround from the viral pranks that landed him in prison. The 20-year-old content creator, whose real name is Bacari-Bronze O’Garro, has issued a stark warning to aspiring pranksters about the serious consequences of chasing viral fame.

Mizzy, from Hackney, London, became infamous in 2023 for a series of controversial stunts that sparked widespread outrage. His so-called pranks included walking into strangers’ homes without permission, stealing an elderly woman’s dog, asking members of the public if they “want to die”, and ripping up library books. The incidents culminated in an 18-week prison sentence after he violated a court order that banned him from filming people without their consent.

Now working a “surprisingly ordinary job”, Mizzy says he has been “working in construction this past year, keeping my head down” and has completely changed his approach to life since becoming a parent.

“Think Before You Act” Warning to Content Creators

Speaking about his past behaviour, Mizzy offered candid advice to wannabe viral stars who might be tempted to follow in his footsteps. He acknowledged the dangers of pursuing online fame at any cost.

“First off, I know first-hand how easy it is to get caught up in the hype of chasing views and trying to go viral on TikTok,” he said. “But there’s a line between entertainment and recklessness, and when you cross that line it’s not just a prank anymore — it can change people’s lives forever.”

He continued: “My advice to anyone coming up in the scene now is simple: think before you act, because the consequences don’t just end with likes and shares, they can end with police, court, and victims left hurt or traumatised.

Deadly Consequences of Viral Challenges

Mizzy’s comments follow a Sun investigation highlighting the tragic toll of dangerous social media trends. The investigation saw grieving mothers warn pranksters about risking lives to chase viral fame and accumulate likes.

Lisa Keneva tragically lost her 13-year-old son Isaac in 2022 to what she believes was linked to the “blackout challenge”, a dangerous online trend. She was joined by Ellen Roome, whose 14-year-old son Jools also died from the same challenge in 2022. Their sons are amongst more than 20 deaths worldwide believed to be connected to the viral trend.

The dangers extend beyond online challenges. Last month in the United States, an 11-year-old child died after being shot multiple times whilst playing “ding dong ditch” in Texas, demonstrating how seemingly harmless pranks can have fatal consequences.

Recent Dangerous Stunts Continue

Earlier this month, a 16-year-old boy was sentenced for causing criminal damage and public nuisance after posting a video on Snapchat showing him throwing a 15kg footstool from a balcony at Westfield Stratford shopping centre in East London. The footstool plunged 50 feet before narrowly missing shoppers on the ground floor.

The video, filmed by a friend and captioned with “laughing” emojis, suggested the pair showed little concern for the fact they came close to killing or seriously injuring random members of the public. The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons.

Financial Incentives Behind Risky Behaviour

Unfortunately, such dangerous stunts can generate substantial income for content creators. Mizzy himself previously boasted about earning thousands through YouTube ad revenue and social media promotions, alongside securing television appearances due to his notoriety.

The financial rewards available through viral content create a powerful incentive for young people to engage in increasingly reckless behaviour, despite the legal and moral consequences.

Fatherhood Changes Everything

Since becoming a father-of-two, Mizzy insists his entire outlook on life has transformed. He now prioritises building a stable future for his children over pursuing online fame.

“I’ve made my mistakes in the past, and I don’t regret them in the sense that they’ve taught me who I am today — but I’ve learned, grown, and moved on,” he said. “I’m a father-of-two now, working hard and focused on building a future, not just for myself but for my kids. That changes everything about how you see life.”

He offered encouragement to other content creators facing legal trouble: “To pranksters or creators who might be facing trouble with the courts now: don’t think it’s the end of the road. Use the situation to reflect, make changes, and turn things around. You can’t rewrite the past, but you can definitely control what happens next.”

Call for Platform Accountability

Mizzy also suggested that social media platforms bear responsibility for preventing dangerous pranks from spreading. He argued that companies need to take more proactive measures rather than simply removing content after harm has occurred.

“They do crack down on certain trends, but it’s often too late by the time a dangerous one has already gone viral,” he said. “There should be better education and clearer guidance for young people — not just taking content down, but helping creators understand why certain things cross the line.”

The reformed prankster’s transformation from viral troublemaker to construction worker and devoted father represents a cautionary tale about the true cost of online fame. His experience serves as a reminder that the pursuit of likes and shares can have real-world consequences that extend far beyond the screen.
