President announces ‘very successful attack’ on three atomic sites including fortress-like Fordow facility as American B-2 stealth bombers deliver devastating blow

President Donald Trump declared a stunning military victory on Saturday after American warplanes carried out devastating strikes against Iran’s nuclear program, targeting three key facilities in a historic escalation that could reshape the Middle East.

The dramatic intervention saw U.S. B-2 stealth bombers drop massive bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear sites, including the underground Fordow facility that has been at the heart of Tehran’s atomic ambitions.

‘Full payload of bombs dropped’

Trump announced the successful completion of the mission on his Truth Social platform, revealing that American aircraft had safely departed Iranian airspace after delivering what he called a crushing blow to the regime’s nuclear capabilities.

“A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow,” the President wrote in capital letters, emphasising the scale of the assault on Iran’s most protected nuclear facility.

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. All planes are safely on their way home,” he added, confirming that the daring mission had been executed without American casualties.

Unprecedented military intervention

The strikes mark the first time the United States has directly attacked Iranian nuclear infrastructure, representing a seismic shift in the nine-day conflict between Israel and Iran that has gripped the region.

The U.S. military targeted nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, with the assault focusing on Iran’s uranium enrichment capabilities that Western intelligence believes were pushing the regime dangerously close to nuclear weapons capability.

“There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” Trump declared, highlighting America’s unique military superiority in executing such a complex operation.

Fortress facility finally breached

The successful strike on Fordow represents a particularly stunning achievement, given that the facility is buried deep beneath a mountain near the city of Qom and protected by hundreds of feet of reinforced concrete and rock.

Iran’s most advanced enrichment facility, Fordow was refining uranium to 60%, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. That’s far more than the 3-5% needed for power plants — and far closer to the 90% required to build a warhead.

Military experts had long questioned whether even Israel’s advanced air force could penetrate Fordow’s defences, with many believing only American B-2 bombers carrying 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs could destroy the underground complex.

Trump’s calculated gamble

The President’s decision to launch the strikes came after days of intense deliberation, during which he weighed diplomatic solutions against military action while publicly keeping the world guessing about his intentions.

“Based on the fact that there is a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” Trump had said just days earlier.

But Trump and his team became increasingly convinced that diplomacy had run its course — and that military action would be necessary to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program.

Last-ditch diplomacy fails

Sources reveal that Trump made a final attempt to avoid military confrontation by exploring backchannel talks with Iranian officials in Istanbul, brokered by Turkish President Erdogan.

Trump was willing to send White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Vice President Vance — or even attend the talks himself if necessary. But the effort collapsed when Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was in hiding over fears of Israeli assassination, couldn’t be reached to authorize the meeting.

With diplomatic channels exhausted and Iran refusing to engage unless Israel halted its attacks, Trump appears to have concluded that only overwhelming military force could eliminate the nuclear threat.

Israel celebrates American support

The strikes came as welcome relief to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had been struggling to penetrate Iran’s most hardened nuclear facilities despite Israel’s ongoing air campaign.

An Israeli military spokesman said Israeli fighter jets struck three Iranian F-14 fighter jets in a Saturday evening attack, with the operation involving 60 Israeli fighter jets.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Trump for “standing by our side” as Israel pushes ahead with its fight against Iran.

Regional tensions escalate

The American intervention dramatically raises the stakes in a conflict that has already seen over 450 missiles fired toward Israel since the conflict began, according to Israeli figures. Approximately 400 unmanned aerial vehicles crossed into Israel in that same time.

Iran has vowed retaliation for any American involvement, with officials warning of consequences across the region if the U.S. joins the military campaign.

The strikes also triggered immediate evacuation procedures, with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee saying the State Department has started assisted departure flights to evacuate Americans from Israel.

Global implications

The successful destruction of Iran’s key nuclear facilities could fundamentally alter the balance of power in the Middle East, potentially eliminating Tehran’s path to nuclear weapons while demonstrating America’s willingness to use overwhelming force when diplomatic solutions fail.

Oil markets are already reacting to the escalation, with global energy prices on high alert following strikes that have targeted crucial infrastructure across the region.

Trump’s nuclear doctrine

The President’s decision reflects his long-standing position that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, a red line that has guided his approach throughout the crisis.

Trump, whose “America First” base has been deeply divided on whether to join Israel’s war, has remained steadfast in one position: Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

The successful strikes validate Trump’s belief that American military superiority, when properly deployed, can achieve objectives that diplomacy cannot deliver.

‘Mission accomplished’

As American bombers return safely to base and intelligence agencies assess the full extent of damage to Iran’s nuclear program, Trump’s bold gamble appears to have paid off spectacularly.

The destruction of Fordow, in particular, represents a devastating blow to Iranian nuclear ambitions that could set back any weapons program by years or even decades.

With Iran’s most sophisticated nuclear facilities now in ruins and American military might clearly demonstrated, the question becomes whether Tehran will seek escalation or accept that its nuclear dreams have been permanently shattered.

Trump’s message is clear: American patience has limits, and when those limits are reached, the consequences will be swift, decisive, and overwhelming.
