Justice Department launches probe into whether ‘radical left lunatics’ used signature machine to control presidency as damning evidence shows MORE activity in Biden’s last 100 days than previous three years
Four Biden aides ‘lawyer up’ as Republicans demand answers on who was really running the White House – Trump claims pardons are ‘VOID’ and calls advisers ‘treasonous thugs’
The Trump administration has launched an explosive investigation into Joe Biden’s mental fitness and shocking use of an autopen signature machine during his final days in office – with bombshell evidence revealing MORE activity in his last 100 days than the previous three and a half years combined.
Justice Department Pardon Attorney Ed Martin confirmed Monday he has been directed to investigate whether Biden “was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of AutoPen or other means” – as Republicans demand answers about who was really running the country.
In a dramatic escalation, President Trump declared Biden’s pardons “VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT” and branded his advisers “treasonous thugs” while demanding to know: “Who was operating the autopen?
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer dropped a stunning revelation: “There was more activity [using the autopen] in the last 100 days of the Biden administration than the first three and a half years of the Biden administration.
‘They have all lawyered up’
In an ominous sign of the scandal’s seriousness, Comer revealed that four key Biden staffers have already retained legal counsel as investigators close in.
“The four staffers that we’ve asked to come in for transcribed interviews, they have all lawyered up,” Comer told Hannity. “They are taking this very seriously, and this is going to be a battle to get to the truth.”
The Kentucky Republican has vowed to subpoena former Biden aides:
- Annie Tomasini – Biden’s White House trip director
- Anthony Bernal – First Lady Jill Biden’s top adviser
- Ashley Williams – Deputy White House chief of staff
Now that Biden’s top enablers can no longer hide behind the power of the presidency, we’re continuing our investigation to expose the truth,” Comer declared.
Trump’s explosive allegations
In a series of bombshell statements, Trump has accused Biden’s staff of using the autopen without his knowledge – potentially invalidating major decisions including pardons and immigration policies.
“Who was operating the autopen? This is a very serious thing,” Trump told reporters ahead of a meeting with House Republicans. We had a president that didn’t sign anything. He autopenned almost anything.”
The President went further, claiming “radical left lunatics” who were running the country used the device after being frustrated that Biden, not Bernie Sanders, won the Democratic nomination.
“They said, ‘Wait a minute, this is a gift. He’ll do anything. We’re going to use the autopen,'” Trump said. “And they used the autopen on everything.”
The January 19 pardon frenzy
Investigators are zeroing in on a flurry of last-minute pardons issued on January 19 – Biden’s final full day in office – including:
- Members of the January 6 committee
- Dr. Anthony Fauci
- General Mark Milley
- Hunter Biden (previously pardoned December 1)
- James Biden and other family members
The conservative Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project revealed that ALL these pardons bore identical autopen signatures, raising questions about whether Biden personally authorized them.
Several of the pardons were signed between Jan. 16 and Jan. 19, just days before Trump’s inauguration. According to public filings and internal memoranda obtained by congressional investigators, a significant number of clemency warrants were executed using batch-format autopen signatures, raising questions about whether Biden was directly involved in the process.
‘Major part of the real crime’
Trump escalated his attacks over the weekend, calling the autopen scandal a “major part of the real crime, THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN!
Whoever had control of the ‘AUTOPEN’ is looking to be a bigger and bigger scandal by the moment,” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding that the January 6 committee members who received pardons “DELETED AND DESTROYED ALL EVIDENCE.
Legal questions mount
While autopens have been used by presidents for decades – with Barack Obama being the first to sign legislation with one – legal experts say the key issue is whether Biden authorized their use.
The Constitution vests the power of pardon in one person and one person only — the President of the United States,” said Kyle Brosnan, chief counsel for the Oversight Project.
A 2005 Justice Department memo found autopens were legal IF the president directed their use. But it emphasized: “We are not suggesting that the President may delegate the decision to approve and sign a bill.
Biden’s defenders push back
A former Biden White House official defended the practice: “Any accusation that President Biden was not making decisions is false. President Biden made the decisions about the pardons and the executive orders he issued.”
But critics point to mounting evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline, including:
- The disastrous June 2024 debate that forced him from the race
- New revelations in a tell-all book about Democratic concerns
- Audio from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview showing confusion
- His recent cancer diagnosis announcement
What happens next?
The investigation promises to be a prolonged battle as:
- House Republicans prepare subpoenas for Biden’s inner circle
- The Justice Department conducts internal reviews of all Biden pardons
- Trump considers asking courts to invalidate autopen-signed documents
- Four Biden aides prepare for potentially explosive testimony
Comer has promised to “bring the truth into the light” and warned that “those involved in the cover-up will begin to be put on notice.
The bottom line
With evidence mounting that Biden’s final 100 days saw unprecedented autopen activity – and his top aides scrambling for lawyers – the question haunting Washington is no longer whether the autopen was used, but who was controlling it.
As one investigator put it: “Nobody has ever seen pardons of this scope… and it looks like they could be corrupt.”
The scandal threatens to expose what Trump calls the biggest cover-up in presidential history – and could lead to the unprecedented reversal of presidential pardons if courts agree they were signed without Biden’s knowledge.
For now, the four Biden aides who’ve “lawyered up” hold the key to answering the explosive question: Who was really running America?
